Real Faith Changes Our Trials
Sep 14, 2014 • Allen Coleman
The Bible is clear: we will meet trials of various kinds. In light of this very important truth, how does authentic faith respond? The culture, at large, would have us believe that our response is to increase the sum total of our own happiness by decreasing the amount of suffering we endure. How is that possible when much of this suffering is not within our control? Instead, the Bible declares such trials should be met with joy as God is refining us into His image. A process which will require wisdom brokered through a single-purposed resolve to remain steadfast. The alternative is a double-minded, artificial faith in which God justly withholds what is required to endure trial.
