God has called us to join Him on a great mission (Matthew 28:18-20). However, some of our best attempts to obey yield fruitless projects and endless events which never seem to translate into the lifestyle Jesus hoped for us. The resulting frustration and guilt very often leads many to give up trying altogether. For others, the challenge to live missionally sadly becomes more of a burden than a joy, when the Gospel falls on deaf ears.
This series will unpack the challenge of transitioning from doing mission to being missional. The exterior motivations we require are cheap substitutes for what Jesus had in mind. We see this particularly evident in the life of the apostle Paul. Mission was not simply what he did, but it was first and foremost, who he was. Together, we will explore how God transformed Paul from within and how we too can start "being missional".
