Out & About - A message thread for activities, ideas, and hangouts

Hey church,

We are happy to introduce a new message thread on our app, titled "Out & About." This is an informal place to post invites, information, and ideas for any activities we'd like to do together as a people.

• Want to go on a hike? Post on the thread to see who else might be interested.
• Want to see a movie? Put it out there and see who might join.
• Want a crew to join you to check out the farmer's market? Test the waters and coordinate meetup times.

Essentially, we wanted to provide a place, unconnected from the formal ministry of the church, where people in our community could coordinate fellowship and fun if they so desire.

This thread is open to everyone at Anthem - members, regular attenders, and guests alike. Joining the thread is entirely voluntary - if it's not your thing, feel free to skip. However, if you're interested, here's how to opt in:

1. Request to join the group using the button below.
2. We will approve your request and you can join the group. This step is only here to weed out spam accounts or other weirdness that may be present in an "open" group. For reference, our Marketplace thread is also a "Request to Join" group, open to anyone.
3. Keep an eye out for posts from others!
